These big cats present a great challenge when hunted in wilderness areas. You will see his tracks, hear his roar and then be face to face with this amazing predator.
We are experts in cat hunting and spend years tracking/watching our wild lions before hunting takes place. Lions are confident in their position in the food chain and often turn the tables on a hunter.
As with all dangerous animals our Hunting Package ia a steady hand and accurate shot is important when hunting lion. They can cause more problems than just a few stitches! One must be prepared for close encounters with the king of beasts.
Our areas produce heavy male lions for the Hunting Package . However, a trophy lion should not be judged by the hair around his neck. The trophy is actually measured by the skull size; but more important than the color of the mane or the size of the skull is the age and social standing of the lion.
We hunt old lions – in the Hunting Package this is the law, proper conservation and best for our areas – we make no exceptions.

About this hunt
In the Hunting Package, This Northern Kalahari Sandveld biome is described as a sandy forest savannah-woodland. Interspersed with flat, clay pans and a series of Omiramba (a local tribal word meaning ‘vague river beds’) that provide water most of the year. The classic form of hunting is used. Land Cruiser vehicles are used to transport you around the hunting area. All of the hunting is done by tracking on foot. This area is not easy to hunt. Game volumes are low. The high quality of the game as well as the possibility to take very big Elephant is the reason for this difficult hunting area.
Ivory average: 60 pounds.

Hunting Package : Forest Elephant & Plains Game Hunt
About this hunt
Hunt some of the most sought-after trophies in Africa! Forest hunting is exciting and the local trackers with their dogs are excellent hunters. Hunting is mainly on foot, but also from machans settled near the edge of large clearings. Bongo, Sitatunga and Dwarf Buffalo are some of the most interesting animals in the area, some of which make splendid trophies. Elephants and Giant Forest Hogs are more difficult to get. Hunting season: Dwarf Buffalo – March to July / Bongo and Sitatunga – May to July. The distances that we will be shooting can range between 25 and 75 meters. Calibers in the .300 Winchester – .375 Holland & Holland Magnum range are preferable. Telescopic sights with a 1x – 4x magnification are adequate. Most hunting is done by walking and stalking.

If you are looking for the hunt of a lifetime, and your wish is to hunt dangerous and plains game alike in their natural environment, then here is the destination of choice. You can pursue buffalo, elephant, hippo, crocodile, lion, leopard, kudu, chobe bushbuck, sharps grysbok, impala, duiker, reedbuck, hyena, warthog, baboon and bushpig – to name but a few. In this remote part of Mozambique, we offer hunting excursions from May to November, however some areas are too wet to hunt before June or July. After a full day`s hunting whilst taking in the breathtaking landscape and following hippo and crocodile through the reed islands, lagoons and backwaters, you will welcome the comforts of the lodge. The campfire will be burning, with plentiful snacks and ice cold drinks on offer.
